So far service in Brianhead has been the worst ever, that being said, this restaurant (Cedar Breaks Lodge) has completely changed my view. Larita was so nice and an excellent server. We loved her! Food was delicious and coming from someone who works in hospitality, I completely recommend this restaurant and Larita!!

My friend and I came here over Memorial Day weekend. Was kind of surprised how dead it was inside for being a holiday weekend. Sat at the bar and had burgers, fries, and a few drinks. The burgers were huge and came with all the fixings. I had the sweet potato fries and my friend had the onion rings. Yummy stuff but couldn't finish it all. Our bartender, Tanner, was super friendly and tried to find us the Tigers ballgame on TV (they didn't have the channel) so my date watched golf instead (snooze fest to me, lol). Great friendly service and decent food. The drinks were a little pricey ($10 for a glass of house chardonnay) but nothing too crazy. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Overpriced, bland food, not great service. Took almost an hour to get our meals. We had two burgers, soup, and a salad. The bread on the burgers tasted like cardboard and the meat was dried out. (Fries were good) Soup looked great but had no flavor. Server was rude slow and took her sweet time when she only had 3 tables to cover.

Our server and the food tonight were fantastic. However - they have "consolidated" all the restaurants into one, and cut the menu back. There is no longer a breakfast menu. They are CLOSED for breakfast. Only close breakfast option other than cook it yourself in your room is at Grand Lodge up the hill. Prices are fair at Cedar Breaks, and the mussels were top notch. They did seat a table of EIGHT children without ANY adult supervision near us - the adults were upstairs drinking - and made no apologies. Inappropriate for sure, and should NEVER BE ALLOWED! Just be prepared for a noisy dinner, albeit pretty decent food.

Over priced for what you get. Drinks were the best part of the meal. We ordered Caesar salad and cheese sticks. Cheese sticks tasted frozen but the sauce was ok. My gf ordered a meatball sub and I ordered the steak. My gf could not even finish the sub because it did not taste good at all. Meatballs were bland and tasted frozen, not enough sauce. My steak was ordered medium and came out well done. Then they made it again and it came out medium well so I ordered the shrimp scampi instead. Too garlicky and shrimp was over cooked. It was our 5 year anniversary and we were really really let down. Would not eat here again.

I would not eat here again. The food server was nice. I think that is the only thing I liked about this place. We ordered veal marsala, shrimp scampi, spaghetti marinara, and a kids macaroni and cheese meal. First, the water came and the water server (different from our food server) spilled it all over my chair (onto my gloves and hat) and the table. Thank goodness I wasn't sitting on my chair at that time. I have to say, that didn't bother me much since it wasn't on me. Next, my son's order was mixed up and he received pigs in a blanket instead of his mac and cheese. The server took it back and resubmitted my son's order. My veal marsala was soupy and bland. The veal had a "crunch" to it (it wasn't tender) that could be heard by my bf as I was eating it. The shrimp scampi that Mike ordered had no fresh or even any chunks of garlic in it. It tasted like it may have had a little bit of garlic powder, but it wasn't much. The scampi sauce (if that is what you call it) was bland and tasted like the water the pasta was boiled in. There was no taste of butter, garlic, or olive oil.

STAY AWAY, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! TRUST ME!! There are common etiquettes when running a business. When a customer patiently waits over an hour to get their food, an apology should come first. From the start our server was not attentive at all. We waited 15 minutes before we could even place an order. The entire hour and a half we sat there, she came by a total of 4 times. It was so bad that the hostess came by and apologized on her behalf and even ended up filling our waters. We were given 2 different excuses on why the food wasn't coming out. I would've totally bought it if the tables around us that were seated later were waiting as well. However they were already done with their meals and leaving. The manager came by towards the end and had the audacity to ask how we were and not provide us with an apology or comps....Never again.

I'm not sure anymore whether there is a separate bar and grill vs Double Black Diamond steakhouse. They seem to have merged together? The stars are for convenience and decent service. The food was very uninspiring, not remotely worth the price. Party ordered steak, veal, and chicken Parmesan: Chicken Parmesan ($16) -- the chicken itself was ok, but very small actual portion of chicken. The rest of the plate was overcooked spaghetti and pasta sauce which was almost certainly straight from a can. Veal ($17) -- same pasta, tiny veal portion. Steak ($25) -- was ordered medium-rare, got a medium well-done. 8 ounces at best. None of the food was inedible, but I could have put it together myself in a few minutes out of cans. For the price I expected more.

Cedar breaks lodge blew me away today! Called for an extremely early check in time (11am) 30 min before arrival and had absolutely no problems, got to the room realized the junior villa didn't have a full kitchen (full kitchenette is only microwave, sink and mini fridge) spoke with the front desk about the misunderstanding when they upgraded us to the grand one bedroom villa for a very minimum charge. The new room is beautiful, a fireplace in the living room and bedroom, enormous tub, two flat screen tvs, full size standard kitchen, and huge east facing windows, needless to say well worth it! The pool area is indoors- perfect for winter, two huge spas AND a sauna. A bar, steakhouse, breakfast joint, and pool table are all onsite also, so seriously, what more could you ask for?

Don't ever come to this place if you're Asian! Waited one hour just to get our food and the waiter didn't check up on us. There were three tables that came in after us and still manage to get their food before our.

Preface this review as there are not many choices in Brian Head, but I loved this place. It is far less casual than the Black Diamond Steak House next door within this same hotel, and the Bar and Grill serves some of the same steaks on their menu, along with some soups, a wonderful spinach and strawberry salad and burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and a kids menu. I enjoyed the loaded potato soup, spinach salad and cheese ravioli with marinara sauce. They also have a decent selection of beer on draft and in bottles and a full bar of other choices. Dessert menu looked good too, but I didn't have room to try it this time. You can eat at the bar or at one of the tables scattered around the space. The bartender and waitstaff were friendly and efficient. They have pool tables in the back as well as TVs throughout. I would come back. Definitely convenient if staying at the Cedar Breaks Lodge or walkable from the nearby Double Tree Hotel

This is a business that really needs to work out the wrinkles because it has great potential. The food is actually really good. The menu is primarily italian with pizza, pasta, veal, shrimp and wonderful fresh salads. The restaurant has three separate rooms with a full bar, lounge area and dining room. We were warned about a long wait for a table. By either a miracle or a mix up we were seated promptly. Our order was taken and food arrived within a reasonable time. Portions were large and the items were delicious except for the calamari that tasted like it came straight from the freezer. The biggest problem we encountered was a lack of bus staff to clear our table. Plates piled up and remained during dessert. When the chocolate cake and cheese cake are irresistible you can put up with piles of used plates. If these guys could get their seating times reduced, take reservations and clear plates they would get an even better review.

You get a 20% discount for being a UT resident. I went with a group of 18 for a school project redesigning the nearby scout camp. The staff was awesome with everyone and very personable. The food was excellent. I got a NY Steak and was convinced to do so when I found that they butcher all of their meat in house. The steak was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The meat was very tender and was one of the better steak I have had. One friend got a burger that made my mouth water just looking at the quality of the patties. They were huge and very tender. Another friend got the brats and the looked fantastic and he said they were just as good as they looked. I had nothing but very good comments about the quality and taste of the food from everyone in the group. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in town or visiting.
